Nearly a year after the body of Oklahoma teen military hopeful Noah Presgrove was found on the side of a highway, disturbing 911 calls reveal the scene witnessed by two people the next morning. Presgrove, 19, was discovered dead along a rural stretch of US-81 in Jefferson County, Oklahoma, on Labor Day in 2023. He had last been seen alive at a party with friends earlier that night. A medical examiner’s report revealed that Presgrove died from multiple blunt force injuries. Two motorists called 911 to report what they initially believed to be a deer on the side of the road, but upon closer inspection, identified it as human remains.
The first caller to 911 described the scene as appearing as though someone walking down the highway had been hit by a vehicle and was lying on the shoulder. The caller initially thought it was a deer but realized it was a body. Another witness later called 911 to report seeing a naked body lying on the side of the same highway at the same location. The caller blocked the road to prevent others from driving over the body and described seeing a piece of clothing in the middle of the road near the body. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation initially described Presgrove’s death as suspicious, and his official manner of death remains undetermined.
Details from the medical examiner’s report aligned with what witnesses told 911 dispatchers. The report described Presgrove as being found naked, wearing only shoes, on the side of the highway with no debris or vehicle parts observed. Presgrove’s cause of death was determined to be multiple blunt force injuries following an ATV accident that occurred earlier that night. He had been at a house party, drinking, and then rode an ATV with several men before a rollover accident. Presgrove then got into an argument with his girlfriend at the party, left, and was found on the side of the road the next morning.
Presgrove, who was 19 years old at the time of his death, had plans to join the military after graduating from Comanche High School. His family, who created a Facebook page called “Justice for Noah Presgrove,” are still seeking answers nearly a year later. They do not harbor any ill will towards anyone who may know what happened to Presgrove. His sister, Madison Rawlings, expressed disbelief that someone would intentionally harm Noah, as he was not involved in trouble or drama. The family believes that it was likely an accident that caused his death and that those involved may have gotten scared.
The investigation into Presgrove’s death is ongoing, with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol taking over the case. A spokesperson for the agency declined to provide further comments on the case. Presgrove’s family continues to seek closure and answers about what happened to him on that fateful night. They are hopeful that through the investigation, they will be able to uncover the truth behind his tragic death and find justice for Noah.
