Mike Tyson, a veteran boxer and former heavyweight champion, is set to face off against Jake Paul, a YouTuber turned boxer, in a highly anticipated match. Tyson, who retired professionally in 2005, has continued to participate in exhibition matches and his last bout was in 2020 against Roy Jones Jr. Paul, on the other hand, has been training vigorously for the fight and is determined to emerge victorious. Their training journey is documented in Netflix’s documentary, Countdown: Paul vs. Tyson, with both fighters engaging in some pre-fight banter. The match was initially scheduled for July 20 but was postponed until now, with the event taking place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The main card will feature a series of preliminary matches before the heavyweight bout between Paul and Tyson, which will consist of eight rounds lasting two minutes each.

In contrast to their earlier careers, Tyson and Paul are now fighting primarily for financial gain rather than titles. The fight is sanctioned by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, making it an official professional bout with scores being kept. The main event is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. ET on Friday, November 15, 2024, and will be broadcast live worldwide. All Netflix subscribers will be able to watch the fight, regardless of their plan type. Before the main event, viewers will also get to see other fights on the main card, including Neeraj Goyat vs. Whindersson Nunes, Mario Barrios vs. Abel Ramos, and Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano, who will be competing for the undisputed super lightweight world title. Ringside commentary will be provided by Roy Jones Jr., Mauro Ranallo, and Rosie Perez, with Sean Wheelock as the rules and scoring expert and Mark Calo-oy as the referee.

For those interested in streaming the weigh-in, they can tune in at 7 p.m. ET via Paul’s MVP YouTube channel, Netflix YouTube, or Netflix’s TikTok. Netflix subscriptions start at $7 per month for plans that include ads, but viewers can opt for ad-free plans at $15.50 or $23 per month to access all content without interruptions. The fight between Tyson and Paul has generated significant buzz and excitement among fans, with both fighters eager to prove themselves in the ring. With Tyson’s experience and Paul’s determination, it remains to be seen who will come out on top in this highly anticipated showdown. The fight will undoubtedly draw a large audience and is expected to be a memorable event for boxing enthusiasts and casual viewers alike.
