Colin Gray, the father of Apalachee High School shooter Colt Gray, pleaded not guilty to 29 counts, including second-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter. His son, Colt Gray, is accused of killing four people and wounding nine others during a mass shooting at the Georgia high school on Sept. 4. Both father and son have pleaded not guilty to the charges they are facing.

A Barrow County grand jury indicted Colt Gray on 55 counts as an adult, including murder in the deaths of four people and 25 counts of aggravated assault at the high school. Both he and his father also face charges of cruelty to children. Colin Gray was charged with purchasing the firearm used in the shooting and giving it to Colt for Christmas. The father did not appear in court as his attorneys entered a guilty plea on his behalf and waived his formal arraignment.

The shooting at Apalachee High School resulted in the deaths of teachers Richard Aspinwall and Cristina Irimie, as well as students Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo. Additionally, another teacher and eight students were wounded, with seven of them hit by gunfire. The release of bodycam footage from a 2023 interview with Colin Gray sheds light on the events leading up to the shooting.

The release of bodycam footage and details of the indictment shed light on the circumstances leading up to the shooting and the involvement of both Colt and Colin Gray.
