Deion Sanders is relaxed about the possibility of his son, Shedeur Sanders, being drafted by any team in the upcoming NFL Draft. Shedeur has had visits with several NFL teams and has discussed his preferences with his father. Deion stated that he will support Shedeur no matter which team selects him, whether it’s the New York, Tennessee, Cleveland, Raiders, New Orleans or any other team in need of a quarterback. Deion is confident that Shedeur will excel and make a positive impact on whichever team he joins.

When asked if he would try to influence where Shedeur goes in the draft, Deion responded that it was not part of God’s will. He expressed his desire for Shedeur to continue excelling despite facing doubts and criticism, stating that the challenges will only motivate them further. Deion mentioned that he appreciates the negativity and obstacles Shedeur faces as it will give him an additional chip on his shoulder to prove his critics wrong.

Deion Sanders drew a comparison between Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter, the reigning Heisman Trophy winner, with former quarterback Eli Manning’s situation in the 2004 NFL Draft. Manning was expected to be the top pick, but there were concerns about the Chargers being a problematic destination for young quarterbacks. Ultimately, Manning was selected by the Chargers, but his family intervened, leading to a trade to the New York Giants. Deion’s reference to this situation suggests that Shedeur may face a similar scenario in the forthcoming draft.
