All the Movies Departing Hulu in August 2025: Includes ‘Skinamarink,’ ‘My Hero Academia,’ and More

Hulu continues to maintain a relatively stable library transitioning into August, losing only a handful of films compared to larger competitors like Netflix and Prime Video. This consistency has become a pattern, with the service typically shedding fewer titles each month. In August, Hulu will add to its exit list just over a dozen films. Fortunately for viewers, many of these titles are less prominent, which minimizes the impact of their departure on broader content offerings.

Among the films leaving Hulu this month, “Skinamarink” stands out as a notable exception. Released in 2022, this indie horror film has gained a reputation for its unsettling atmosphere and originality. It has resonated deeply with fans of the genre, and as it prepares to leave Hulu at the beginning of August, viewers are encouraged to watch this eerie tale before it disappears from their streaming options.

As August progresses, a diverse lineup of films is scheduled to exit Hulu. Notable titles include “Just Super” on August 7, followed by “The Friendship Game” and “Moving On” just days later. Each of these films may appeal to various audiences with different tastes—ranging from lighthearted comedy to drama. While not all these films are household names, they enhance Hulu’s eclectic offerings during their tenure on the platform.

The list continues with “One True Love” and “Four Samosas,” both leaving in mid-August. The latter, a comedy, brings a unique flavor to the roster of outgoing films. Following closely are titles like “The Last Son” and popular anime movie “My Hero Academia: Two Heroes.” Both movies offer their distinctive genres, ensuring that there is something for nearly every type of viewer. The inclusion of such titles demonstrates Hulu’s commitment to a varied viewing experience for its subscribers.

Towards the end of August, Hulu will part ways with several additional films: “Hostile Territory,” “Nocebo,” and “7 Days” all feature varied themes and stories, giving viewers a chance to explore different narratives before they become unavailable. The platform is also set to lose darker thrillers, including “Assailant” and “Vendetta,” which cater to those in search of gripping suspense. These films, while perhaps lesser-known, contribute to the diversity of Hulu’s film library.

Finally, as August closes, viewers will bid farewell to titles like “American Rapstar,” “Anais in Love,” and “Tell It to the Bees.” These movies wrap up the month with fresh perspectives and unique storytelling, appealing to niche audiences. Overall, while Hulu’s losses this month may not be earth-shattering, they do remind subscribers to keep an eye on what’s leaving to ensure they don’t miss out on the limited-time offerings.
