The Golden State Warriors showed resiliency in their gritty win over the Chicago Bulls in the NBA Summer League, maintaining their perfect record. The Bulls made the Warriors work for the win, but Golden State was able to flip the switch with a pivotal run in the first quarter to retake the lead. The Warriors started the second half strong and built a double-digit lead that they held onto for the rest of the game.

Brandin Podziemski was the standout player for Golden State, finishing with 21 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists. He displayed his versatility on both ends of the floor, hitting three-pointers, driving to the basket, and making plays for his teammates. Podziemski’s performance as a primary ball handler bodes well for the Warriors, especially with Steph Curry playing off the ball and the departure of Chris Paul.

Daeqwon Plowden continued to impress with his efficient play within the Warriors’ offense. Despite scoring fewer points than the previous game, Plowden made a impact with his shooting, athleticism, and ability to thrive within the team’s structure. He showcased his shooting ability from beyond the arc and his athleticism with a tough finish at the rim and a transition slam off a lob from Podziemski.

Trayce Jackson-Davis had a strong showing in what is expected to be his final game of the summer league. He recorded a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds, along with a block and two steals. Jackson-Davis’s performance indicates he is ready to take on a substantial role with the Warriors in the upcoming season, providing the team with vertical spacing and a strong inside presence.

Overall, the Warriors showed their ability to grind out wins and adapt to different challenges during the summer league. The performances of Podziemski, Plowden, and Jackson-Davis give the team confidence as they head into the regular season with high hopes for success in the Western Conference. The summer league served as a platform for young players to showcase their skills and readiness for the NBA, and the Warriors’ players proved they are ready to contribute at the highest level.
