Sony Pictures Unveils Complete Information About ‘Columbia Classics Volume 5’ 4K Blu-Ray Collection

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced the release of the fifth installment in their Columbia Classics 4K Blu-ray boxset series. The collection features an eclectic mix of movies, including well-known classics such as “On The Waterfront” starring Marlon Brando and Martin Scorsese’s “The Age Of Innocence”. Other titles in the set include “A Man For All Seasons”, “Tootsie”, “All The King’s Men”, and Greta Gerwig’s 2019 adaptation of “Little Women”.

Each film in the collection has been remastered for 4K disc with Dolby Vision high dynamic range, some even featuring new Dolby Atmos sound mixes. Extra features for each title include multiple commentary tracks, behind-the-scenes featurettes, interviews, and more. The remastering for “The Age Of Innocence” was supervised by Thelma Schoonmaker, a legendary collaborator of Martin Scorsese.

In addition to the six main films, the “Columbia Classics Volume 5” boxset also includes a bonus disc featuring four rare 1920s feature films from the Columbia Pictures library. These films are presented in HD or 4K SDR and add even more value to the collection. The boxset is set to be released on October 1st and is expected to sell out quickly due to its limited edition status.
