The Malaysian police have detained a total of 355 suspects in connection with alleged child abuse at care homes linked to a Muslim conglomerate. Among those arrested were 77 women, bringing the total number of arrests to 355. The Inspector-General of Police announced that 200 individuals had been detained in the ongoing probe named Ops Global. This included 31 members of Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings (GISB), with 17 of them being key figures in the organization. GISB is said to be linked to a banned religious sect and owns various businesses with assets totaling around RM325 million globally.

The latest arrests took place across 82 locations in Peninsula Malaysia. A total of 186 victims, including children, were rescued during the raid. In Melaka, 24 individuals were rescued, including 19 minors, from a house. Earlier in the month, police raided 20 welfare homes in Selangor and Negeri Sembilan, rescuing about 400 children who had allegedly been abused, some sexually. The children rescued were between the ages of one and 17. Initial investigations revealed that the victims were not only sodomized by the caretakers but also taught to perform similar acts on other children at the home. The suspects used heated metal objects as a form of punishment and claimed that touching the victims’ bodies was part of religious medical treatment.

The ongoing investigation into the alleged child abuse at care homes linked to GISB has resulted in a significant number of arrests, with women among those detained. Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings, the conglomerate under scrutiny, has been identified as being linked to a banned religious sect. The raids conducted by the police across various locations in Peninsula Malaysia have led to the rescue of numerous victims, including children who were subjected to abuse. The children rescued were reportedly taught to perform inappropriate acts on each other and were punished using heated metal objects by the caretakers. The investigation into these shocking allegations is ongoing, shedding light on the extent of the abuse perpetrated at these care homes.

The arrests and raids conducted by the Malaysian police have brought to attention the severity of the alleged child abuse at welfare homes linked to the Muslim conglomerate. The large number of arrests, including key figures of GISB, indicate the scale of the investigation known as Ops Global. The rescue of numerous victims, including minors, during the raids highlights the urgent need to address the abuse occurring at these care homes. The nature of the abuse, including sexual assault and forced acts of violence against children, has shocked the public and raised concerns about the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals under the care of these establishments.

The ongoing probe into the alleged child abuse at the care homes linked to the Muslim conglomerate has uncovered disturbing details about the treatment of the victims. Reports of victims being not only physically and sexually abused but also coerced into participating in abusive acts against each other are deeply troubling. The use of religious beliefs and practices as a cover for such abuse further emphasizes the need for thorough investigations and accountability for those responsible. The efforts by the Malaysian police to rescue and protect the victims from further harm demonstrate a commitment to addressing the issue of child abuse and ensuring justice for those affected. However, the revelations of the extent of the abuse and manipulation of vulnerable individuals highlight the importance of continued vigilance and intervention to prevent such atrocities in the future.

The arrests and rescues carried out by the Malaysian police shed light on the distressing reality of child abuse at care homes linked to a Muslim conglomerate. The involvement of key figures from GISB and the scale of the operation known as Ops Global indicate a widespread issue that requires immediate attention. The rescue of minors and other victims from abusive situations underscores the urgent need for protective measures and accountability for those involved in such criminal activities. The investigation into these events continues, with a focus on identifying the perpetrators and ensuring that justice is served for the victims. The authorities’ swift action in responding to reports of abuse and exploitation at these care homes is crucial in safeguarding the well-being and rights of vulnerable individuals in society.
