Audio-Technica has introduced a new turntable, the AT-LP70xBT, aimed at those looking to start their journey into vinyl record collecting. This affordable and user-friendly turntable features a belt-driven mechanism and Bluetooth connectivity for wireless music streaming. It can switch between playing LPs at speeds of 33-1/3 and 45 RPM with the touch of a button, making it easy to use for beginners.

In addition to its wireless capabilities, the AT-LP70xBT can also be used with wired systems and features a built-in phono preamp that can be switched on or off. This allows for easy connection to amplifiers that do not have a dedicated phono stage input for turntables. The turntable comes equipped with Audio-Technica’s AT-VM95C phono cartridge, mounted on a J-shaped tonearm. While the cartridge is not upgradable, it features a 0.6 mil conical stylus that can be substituted with other stylus options from Audio-Technica’s VM95 Series.

Despite being marketed towards vinyl newcomers, the AT-LP70xBT is said to appeal to more experienced audiophiles as well. It boasts a three-piece anti-resonance chassis that helps reduce unwanted noise and vibrations, providing a solid foundation for high-quality sound. The turntable is available in three different finishes – Black Silver, White Silver, and Black Bronze – and comes with a removable and hinged dust cover for protection.

The Audio-Technica AT-LP70xBT is slated for release in mid-August and will be priced at $249 USD. It will be available in different colorways, including Black Silver and White Silver, as well as Black Bronze. The turntable features a belt drive system, Bluetooth transmission capabilities with support for various audio codecs, and a fixed-body AT-VM95C integral dual moving magnet cartridge. It also includes a detachable RCA output cable, a 45 RPM adapter, and an AC adapter for power.

Overall, the AT-LP70xBT offers a convenient and versatile option for those looking to explore the world of vinyl records. With its combination of wireless connectivity, user-friendly design, and high-quality components, this turntable is suitable for both beginners and seasoned audiophiles. Its affordable price point and range of features make it an attractive choice for anyone interested in starting or expanding their vinyl collection.
