Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is a subscription service that offers access to hundreds of games for $20 a month on Xbox Series X, Series S, Xbox One, and PC or mobile devices. Subscribers get new titles added every month, as well as online multiplayer and discounts on non-Game Pass titles. Microsoft recently added Age of Mythology: Retold and Wargroove 2 to the service, with Frostpunk 2 and Ara: History Untold set to be available soon. Frostpunk 2 is a city-building survival game set in an arctic apocalypse, while Ara: History Untold is a turn-based grand strategy game where players can build and lead a nation.
Wargroove 2 is available now and allows players to command the land, sea, and sky in a Fire Emblem-style turn-based tactics game. Players are tasked with stopping factions from wreaking havoc across the land, including a cast of new characters such as a dog in armor. Frostpunk 2 will be available on PC starting September 20, challenging players to make tough decisions to ensure their community survives in a city struggling with overpopulation, food, and coal shortages. Ara: History Untold, available on PC starting September 24, allows players to explore unique territories, develop culture and arts, conduct diplomacy, and engage in strategic warfare.
While new games are being added to Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft is also removing nine games on September 30. This gives players time to finish any campaigns or side quests before having to purchase the games separately.
