In today’s Connections game, players were presented with a grid of 16 words and tasked with arranging them into four groups of four based on the links between them. The groups were color coded to indicate their difficulty level, with the yellow group being the easiest and the purple group being the hardest. Hints were provided to help players determine the connections between the words and avoid making mistakes.

Today’s 16 words included PAN, PILOT, SHORT, and RABBIT among others. The hints for the groups were negative feelings for the yellow group, test for the green group, words seen just off of Times Square for the blue group, and linked by a forename for the purple group. Players were challenged to figure out which words belonged in each group based on these clues.

The answers for today’s Connections game were revealed to be CROSS, SHORT, SURLY, and TESTY for the yellow group, EXPLORATORY, PILOT, PRELIMINARY, and TRIAL for the green group, FIDDLER, JERSEY, KINKY, and MERRILY for the blue group, and PAN, PARKER, PIPER, and RABBIT for the purple group. Players who successfully identified these groupings were able to achieve a perfect game.

They noted that their previous experience with the game helped them quickly identify the purple group and work their way through the other groups to achieve a win streak of nine games. The player also mentioned a favorite song from the Broadway musical Jersey Boys.

Overall, today’s Connections game provided players with a challenging yet rewarding puzzle to solve. By carefully considering the hints provided and making strategic guesses, players were able to successfully arrange the words into their respective groups and achieve a perfect score. Each game of Connections offers a unique and engaging opportunity to test one’s word association and problem-solving skills.
