Courteney Cox, who turned 60 over the summer, is a shining example of strength and fitness. The “Friends” star celebrated her birthday by sharing a video of her intense workout routine, emphasizing the importance of staying active for both physical and mental health. Cox is dedicated to maintaining her fitness through a variety of activities, including tennis, boxing, weight lifting, and Pilates. She is committed to pushing herself and trying new approaches to exercise to keep her body in top shape.

One of Cox’s favorite ways to stay active is by playing tennis, hitting the court twice a week. She has incorporated monitoring her heart rate during workouts to ensure she is pushing herself to the max. Cox also invested in a home gym after experiencing back issues, working with a physical therapist three times a week to focus on strength and conditioning exercises. She enjoys a mix of machine and mat work to keep her routine interesting and challenging.

In addition to tennis, Cox is a skilled boxer who incorporated boxing workouts into her routine before hurting her knee. She shared that her trainer would start their sessions with some salsa dancing before moving into a boxing circuit involving core and upper/lower body exercises. Strength training is also a priority for Cox, as she understands the importance of supporting muscle mass as she ages. She emphasizes the need for weight lifting in her routine to maintain muscle tone.

Cox is a fan of Pilates and regularly works with a teacher to incorporate the practice into her routine three times a week. She also includes walking and running intervals in her fitness plan to keep her body in top shape. Cox follows a balanced diet focused on vegetables and protein, favoring kale, spinach, broccoli, asparagus, steak, chicken, and fish. She incorporates bands into her workouts for toning and enjoys a mix of exercises to target different muscle groups.

To supplement her fitness routine, Cox tried an electric muscle stimulation (EMS) suit from the brand Katalyst, aiming to tone and firm her muscles. While she found the experience effective in engaging her muscles, she also acknowledged the importance of proper technique and attention during the sessions. Cox has also seen success with the Tracy Anderson Method, a challenging workout that she credits for lifting her butt, sculpting her arms, and tightening her skin. She appreciates the constant challenge and variety offered by the method in her hour-and-a-half workout sessions.
