Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Portia De Rossi, are selling their U.K. estate, “Kitesbridge Farm,” following their permanent relocation from the U.S. to England. As reported by The Wall Street Journal on July 22, the couple’s 43-acre property in the picturesque Cotswolds is listed for around $30 million. DeGeneres, 67, and De Rossi, 52, purchased the estate for approximately $20 million in the spring of 2024, after moving from California in the wake of Donald Trump’s reelection. DeGeneres emphasized the importance of accommodating De Rossi’s horses in a statement explaining their decision to establish a home in England.
After settling into Kitesbridge Farm, the couple found the property unsuitable and opted to relocate to a more horse-friendly residence nearby. The estate, currently listed with Sotheby’s International Realty, boasts impressive amenities, including seven bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a guest cottage, a five-car heated garage, a party barn, an indoor swimming pool, and extensive outdoor living areas. DeGeneres noted that the estate was thoughtfully designed over the past year to meet their needs.
In a recent public appearance, DeGeneres confirmed their choice to leave the U.S. and revealed that they originally planned to spend only part of the year in England. However, the morning after the 2016 U.S. presidential election, they decided to make a permanent move.
