This severely restricted his nutritional absorption capabilities, leading to reliance on intravenous nutrition. Coupled with dietary restrictions that kept him from indulging in foods common among his peers, Hall’s childhood was marked by physical challenges that heightened his sense of isolation and struggle in a socially unforgiving environment.
As Hall entered his teenage years, the foul odor associated with his condition became more pronounced, further alienating him from others.
