The Real Housewives of New York City has undergone significant changes with the start of season 14 in 2023, including a major casting shakeup. Despite this, fans are still interested in keeping up with the original stars of RHONY and the most prominent names from the franchise. Some former RHONY cast members have moved to Florida, including Bethenny Frankel and Jill Zarin. The decision to relocate was influenced by factors such as family, personal, and professional reasons.

Bethenny Frankel, who appeared on the Bravo series on and off from 2008 to 2019, announced her move to Florida in April 2025. The main reason behind her decision was her daughter, Bryn, who was a big factor in why she chose to relocate. Frankel emphasized that her daughter’s academic and athletic goals were a priority in making the move, further highlighting that Bryn’s physical and emotional well-being played an essential role in the decision.

In addition to Bethenny Frankel, other former RHONY stars have also made Florida their new home. Sonja Morgan, who joined RHONY during season 3, listed her Upper East Side townhouse for sale and moved to a waterfront condo in West Palm Beach, while maintaining properties in the Hamptons and New York City. Jill Zarin, who was a main cast member during seasons 1 to 4, had a long history with Florida, previously owning properties in Miami and Boca Raton. After her husband’s passing, Jill decided to make the move to Florida full-time and renovated her new property, which she nicknamed “Camp Zarin.”

Ramona Singer, another former RHONY star, revealed during the season 13 finale in fall 2021 that she had purchased a condo in Palm Beach. Despite this, Singer still primarily resides in New York City. Jules Wainstein, who appeared on RHONY for season 8, moved to Florida following her divorce from Michael Wainstein. Their child custody agreement stipulated that Jules has full legal custody over their children, but she is not allowed to move them without Michael’s permission. Both Jules and Michael currently reside in Florida.

The decision of former RHONY stars to move to Florida reflects a desire for a change of scenery, new opportunities, and personal reasons. For some, like Bethenny Frankel, the well-being of their children is a crucial factor in making the move. Others, such as Jill Zarin, have a history with Florida and see it as a place to start fresh after significant life events, such as the passing of a loved one. Overall, the move to Florida for these former RHONY stars represents a new chapter in their lives and a way to embrace change and growth.
