ICE and DEA agents in New England conducted a joint operation on Nantucket, Massachusetts, to arrest “illegal criminal aliens.” The DEA New England division assisted ICE and ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Boston in making the arrests on the upscale vacation island. The DEA confirmed that one man previously charged with kidnapping and domestic assault and battery, as well as a woman, were arrested during the operation. The suspects’ names and countries of origin were not disclosed, and Fox News Digital reached out to the DEA for further information.

The acting special agent in charge of the DEA’s New England Field Division stated that they collaborated with federal partners on immigration enforcement efforts. The US Coast Guard also participated in the operation, transporting federal agents to and from Nantucket with a suspect in custody. The Town of Nantucket revealed in a press release that the Nantucket Police Department was informed by the Department of Justice and DEA about the arrival of federal agents to serve an arrest warrant for a “violent offender.” Local police assisted in identifying requested addresses and providing transportation to the DEA.

Two photos were released by the DEA showing the operation on Nantucket. In one photo, DEA agents were seen on a US Coast Guard vessel with the suspects in custody, while in the other, the two suspects appeared in custody. In a separate incident in September, ICE made at least six arrests between Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard as part of an operation targeting illegal immigrant suspects accused of serious crimes in the beach towns frequented by the Biden and Obama families. One of the arrests involved a Salvadoran illegal immigrant named Bryan Daniel Aldana-Arevalo, charged with rape of a child and indecent assault and battery on a child under 14.

The joint operation between ICE, DEA, and other federal agencies on Nantucket aimed to apprehend “illegal criminal aliens,” including individuals previously charged with serious offenses. The cooperation between the agencies allowed for the apprehension of suspects, although details such as names and countries of origin were not disclosed. Earlier in September, ICE conducted a series of arrests in the area, focusing on illegal immigrant suspects accused of heinous crimes in beach towns popular with prominent families. The involvement of the US Coast Guard in transporting federal agents for the operation highlights the comprehensive effort to detain suspects in these areas.

The collaboration between federal agencies, including ICE, DEA, and local law enforcement like the Nantucket Police Department, demonstrates a unified approach to enforcing immigration laws and apprehending individuals facing criminal charges. The Town of Nantucket was informed in advance of the federal agencies’ plan to serve an arrest warrant for a violent offender on the island. The Nantucket Police Department provided support by assisting federal agents in identifying addresses and offering transportation during the operation. The coordination between federal and local authorities was instrumental in the successful execution of the arrests on Nantucket.

The release of photos from the DEA depicting the operation on Nantucket, as well as details of previous arrests in the area, shed light on the ongoing efforts to target illegal immigrant suspects accused of serious crimes in coastal towns. The arrests made by ICE in September, including the case of Bryan Daniel Aldana-Arevalo charged with child rape, underscore the importance of these operations in addressing public safety concerns. As the investigation continues, details regarding the suspects’ identities and legal status will likely be revealed. The involvement of multiple agencies in coordinating these operations reflects a comprehensive approach to law enforcement and immigration enforcement in the region.
