Jana Kramer celebrated her son Roman’s first birthday by reflecting on a scary experience she had while pregnant with him. She shared on Instagram about how she started heavily bleeding around 8 weeks pregnant, fearing she was going to miscarry as she had done multiple times before. Despite being told there was a 50/50 chance of miscarriage due to a subchorionic hemorrhage, she was relieved to see a heartbeat and thanked her husband for seeing the positive side when all she heard was the possibility of losing the baby.
Over the following 8-10 weeks, Kramer continued to experience bleeding, which was unsettling for her as someone who had suffered miscarriages in the past. However, the hemorrhage eventually went away, and Roman continued to grow. She also had a fibroid that posed a risk of interfering with the placenta, so she prayed every day for her baby to keep beating. This led her to write prayers and scripture on the foundation of their home, with the phrase “keep beating baby” displayed prominently.
Kramer shared her gratitude for getting pregnant right away and emphasized the importance of never losing hope, especially for those who have experienced losses. She acknowledged the difficulties of facing challenges in becoming pregnant but encouraged others to trust that God will find a way to make their dreams of having a child come true. Kramer and her husband Allan Russell welcomed son Roman in November 2023, and they expressed their joy and gratitude for the opportunity to create something special together. They explained that the name Roman was chosen simply because they both loved it, while his middle name, James, honored both of their grandfathers.
In addition to Roman, Kramer is also the mother of daughter Jolie, 8, and son Jace, 5, from her previous marriage to Mike Caussin. The couple was married from 2015 to 2021, and despite their split, Kramer continues to focus on her children and celebrate the milestones in their lives. She shared her journey of overcoming challenges and loss while expressing gratitude for the blessing of motherhood and the joy that her children bring to her life. Kramer’s message serves as a reminder of the resilience and faith needed to navigate the ups and downs of pregnancy and parenting.
