An American Airlines flight from New York City to Tokyo had to be turned around over the Pacific Ocean due to a maintenance issue. The flight, which took off from JFK International Airport, was expected to land in Tokyo the next day, but after nearly seven hours into the flight, it was redirected back to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. The Boeing 787 Dreamliner flew over several states before landing back in the US.
American Airlines Flight 167 made its way over Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, and Oklahoma before finally landing in Dallas-Fort Worth.
