A Missouri man, Jeffrey Goedde, has been arrested and charged with murder after allegedly stabbing his father, Edward Goedde, around 50 times. Jeffrey walked into the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office to confess to the crime, stating that he had “accidentally killed” his dad. He was quickly arrested after telling authorities about the alleged incident.

Authorities found Edward Goedde dead in his home with multiple stab wounds and signs of blunt force trauma after Jeffrey’s confession. Jeffrey reportedly used weapons and his hands to attack his father, leaving him unconscious and bleeding in the kitchen. Manchester City police were called in to investigate the crime scene and conduct a welfare check on the victim.

Jefferson County Sheriff Dave Marshak explained that Goedde went to the sheriff’s office to confess because he trusts the countywide agency.
