Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, has blamed nationwide protests against his electric car company on left-wing billionaire George Soros, billionaire Democratic mega-donor Reid Hoffman, and other individuals. Musk claims that these individuals are funding the destructive protests, which have targeted Tesla vehicles, dealerships, and charging stations. Although some Tesla vehicles and charging stations have been damaged and destroyed, it is unclear if the protests and vandalism are directly linked. Musk took to his social media platform X to accuse five ActBlue-funded groups of being responsible for the protests.

Musk named five ActBlue funders, including Soros and Hoffman, whom he believes are funding the protests. ActBlue is currently under investigation for allegedly allowing foreign and illegal donations, in violation of campaign finance regulations. Musk also mentioned that seven ActBlue senior officials recently resigned, including the associate general counsel. The protests against Tesla are believed to be a response to Musk’s involvement with the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency, which aims to reduce wasteful spending and fraud within the federal government.

Protesters have been targeting Tesla dealerships, charging stations, and vehicles across the country as a way to denounce Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency. Organizations like Indivisible, founded by former Democratic congressional staffers, have encouraged protesters to take action against Musk. In some instances, protesters have gone as far as throwing Molotov cocktails at Tesla dealerships, setting fire to charging stations, and damaging multiple cars. A man was arrested after allegedly throwing Molotov cocktails at a Tesla dealership in Salem, Oregon, and several Tesla charging stations in Massachusetts have been set on fire.

Lawmakers have expressed concerns over the threats and attacks against Elon Musk, with Rep. Anna Paulina Luna suggesting that some politicians believe attacking Musk is good for their polling numbers. Musk himself has addressed the increase in threats to his life during an interview with podcaster Joe Rogan. Fox News Digital reached out to George Soros and Reid Hoffman for comment but did not receive a response. The protests and vandalism targeting Tesla have raised questions about campaign finance regulations, political motivations, and the safety of prominent individuals in the business world.
