New York Comic Con is set to kick off at the Javits Center, bringing together pop culture fans of all ages to immerse themselves in their favorite comics, TV shows, anime, and movies. Event organizer ReedPop has lined up a series of guest speakers, merchandise, surprise drops, and celebrity appearances for attendees and cosplayers to enjoy. Brien McDonald, the vice president of content for ReedPop, previewed some of the exciting reveals for this year’s event, highlighting the presence of studios like Netflix and Paramount, as well as the debut of The Simpsons and Apple TV Plus at NYCC. Panels for genre programming such as Dune: Prophecy and The Penguin are expected to be mind-blowing.

For those who can’t attend in person, the panels on the Main and Empire stages can be livestreamed for free via ReedPop’s YouTube channel and NYCC’s social media accounts. TV and movie buffs can expect a range of content from animation to guest panels and hot new trailers from studios like Max, Blumhouse, SpongeBob, Sony, Netflix, and various anime studios. Nickelodeon will also be celebrating SpongeBob Squarepants’ 25th anniversary with a dedicated booth featuring AR, 3D animation, and large models of iconic locations from the show. Panels for popular anime series like Dragon Ball, Fairy Tail, Overlord, One Piece, and Bleach are also on the schedule.

Trailers galore from Sony, Netflix, Blumhouse, and more are expected to be released during NYCC. Max will showcase trailers for Creature Commandos and Dune: Prophecy, while Netflix will drop a trailer for The Electric State, featuring Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt. Sony’s panel will include sneak peeks from Venom: The Last Dance, Karate Kid: Legends, and Kraven the Hunter. Blumhouse is set to reveal new horror projects during BlumFest, celebrating 15 years of horror. McDonald recommends five must-see events for superfans, including Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, BlumFest NYCC, The Simpsons, Star Trek Universe panel, and Outlander season 7, part 2 preview.

First-time attendees are advised to plan ahead, make panel reservations, and have a schedule in place to ensure they don’t miss out on any key events. McDonald emphasizes the importance of planning and not winging it when it comes to navigating the crowded convention.
