Torilena May Fields, a 32-year-old Kentucky woman, was arrested after a worker found a disemboweled human torso in the backyard of her mother’s home. She has been charged with the murder of her mother, Trudy Fields, as police found a charred and severed head, hands, feet, and forearm in a pot in the oven. Drag marks led to the victim’s torso alongside piles of hair and blood-soaked mattresses. Fields allegedly shot her mother in the head and tortured and killed a dog as well.

Fields, who previously lived in California under the name Naomi Navarre, had aspirations of becoming an actor, model, and singer. She starred in two films in 2019 and had a presence on Instagram showcasing herself in a red wig with editorialized makeup and clothes. In high school, she was voted “biggest flirt” and expressed her dream of becoming a famous singer to shock the world. Jennifer Shankle, a friend of Fields from college, described her as outgoing and friendly, highlighting how shocked he was by the news of her alleged crime.

The family and friends of Fields were completely shocked by her actions. Fields had experienced a motorcycle accident in California and sustained a brain injury, leading to speculation that it may have triggered a mental break. After the accident, she moved back to Kentucky in August to live with her mother, who was reportedly trying to help her mentally. Fields’ uncle believes she may have been brainwashed by Satanism or witchcraft, as her mugshot does not reflect the girl they once knew.

Fields was reportedly under the influence of drugs when she was arrested, although the specific drugs were not disclosed. She has been charged with murder, abuse of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence, torture of an animal, and obstructing governmental operations. Fields is currently being held on a $1.5 million bond at the Bourbon County Detention Center. The family continues to express shock and grief over the incident, with her cousin Olivia Brock describing it as a completely new experience for them.
