KOLD 13 News in Tucson, Arizona, is grieving the sudden loss of one of its young anchors, Ana Orsini. Orsini, only 28 years old, passed away unexpectedly from a brain aneurysm. Her colleagues, including Dan Marries and Allie Porter, shared heartfelt tributes on social media, expressing their shock and sorrow at her untimely death. Orsini had been a valued member of the KOLD team since June 2023, known for her wisdom, compassion, and love for animals. Her positive impact on those around her is remembered fondly by those who worked with her.

Orsini’s coworkers described her as a person with endless empathy who always stood up for others. She was considered a leader within the news team, a mentor to younger colleagues, and a beloved friend to many at the station. Her biography, no longer available on the station’s website, revealed that Orsini was originally from Denver, Colorado, and felt a strong connection to Arizona. She began her college career at the University of Arizona before transferring to Texas A&M, where she graduated with a degree in journalism and a double minor in communication and sports management. Her dedication to her work and her outgoing personality left a lasting impression on those she worked with.

After college, Orsini launched her career in TV news in Lubbock, Texas, where she worked as an anchor and reporter. She later moved to Medford, Oregon, where she served as a morning and midday anchor. Orsini’s Facebook page revealed her family’s divided loyalties when it came to sports, with her parents attending the University of Arizona while her twin sisters cheered for UCLA. Despite their different allegiances, Orsini’s family was united in their desire for her to be remembered as the vibrant and caring person she was.

The loss of Orsini has deeply affected her colleagues at KOLD 13 News, with many expressing their sadness and shock at her passing. Carsyn Currier, one of Orsini’s co-anchors, remembered her as a special person who made everyone around her feel valued and understood. Orsini’s sudden death serves as a reminder of life’s fragility and the importance of cherishing each day. The news station and the Tucson community are mourning the loss of a talented young journalist who touched the lives of many with her kindness and compassion.

Ana Orsini’s family and friends are navigating the difficult process of grieving her loss, remembering her for the positive impact she had during her time at KOLD and throughout her life. A tribute video created by the station captures the warmth and generosity that Orsini shared with those around her. Her passing has left a void in the newsroom and the hearts of those who knew her, but her memory will continue to live on through the stories she covered and the lives she touched. As the Tucson community comes together to honor Orsini’s memory, her legacy as a talented journalist and a caring friend will endure for years to come.
