Robert F. Kennedy Jr., along with his wife Cheryl Hines, attended the memorial service for Kennedy’s late mother, Ethel Kennedy, at the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle in Washington. Kennedy, 70, was seen wearing his wedding ring, just one day after scandalous allegations emerged in court involving journalist Olivia Nuzzi. Nuzzi, who had a personal relationship with Kennedy, filed for a protective order against her ex-fiance Ryan Lizza, who she accused of trying to blackmail her and hacking her devices to reveal her relationship with Kennedy.

In court filings, Nuzzi described RFK Jr. as a “70-year-old sex addict” who manipulated her due to a power disparity. She characterized their relationship as toxic, unhealthy, and crazy. Lizza, on leave from Politico, alleged that Kennedy urged Nuzzi not to report details he revealed to her and to confess to her editor. Kennedy has denied the allegations, stating that he met Nuzzi once for an interview that resulted in a hit piece, refuting Lizza’s claims as false.

RFK Jr.’s past controversies include allegations of sexual assault by a nanny hired in the 1990s and details from his personal diary describing struggles with wild impulses and powerful demons related to sex. Despite admitting to a rambunctious youth, Kennedy has faced persistent accusations throughout his life. After the scandal with Nuzzi was made public, Kennedy was seen wearing his wedding ring, including at events supporting former President Donald Trump. Hines, on the other hand, was seen without her ring in September, sparking rumors of a possible divorce from Kennedy.

Hines, a well-known actress, has allegedly been considering divorcing Kennedy, whose political decisions, including ending his independent bid for presidency and endorsing Trump, have reportedly caused tension in their marriage. The couple’s relationship has been under scrutiny due to the recent scandal involving Nuzzi, with Kennedy facing allegations of misconduct and manipulation towards Nuzzi. Despite these controversies, Kennedy has maintained his public appearances and engagements, including attending his mother’s funeral alongside President Biden, former Presidents Obama and Clinton, and other dignitaries.

Ethel Kennedy passed away at the age of 96 from complications from a stroke, leaving behind nine surviving children, including RFK Jr. The Kennedy family has been a prominent figure in American politics and society, with their personal lives often coming under public scrutiny. RFK Jr.’s involvement in the recent scandal with journalist Olivia Nuzzi, accusations of past sexual misconduct, and his marriage to actress Cheryl Hines have all contributed to the ongoing narrative surrounding the Kennedy family, their relationships, and their legacy in American history.
