Richard Gadd has become a darling of awards shows due to the success of his debut Netflix miniseries, Baby Reindeer. Despite his success, Gadd does not proudly display most of his hard-earned trophies, choosing instead to give them to others to show his gratitude for their support. He only keeps a couple of awards in his house, including one of the three Emmys he has won for his series.

Baby Reindeer, based on Gadd’s alleged personal experience with abuse, has earned him accolades at numerous award shows, including the Emmy Awards, Critics Choice Awards, Golden Globe Awards, and more. At the 2025 Independent Spirit Awards, he won the Best Lead in a New Scripted Series trophy, adding to his collection of awards. Gadd credits the support of many good people in helping him through tough times and acknowledges that without them, he would not be accepting these awards.

Gadd is hoping to add another trophy to his collection at the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards, where he is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series. In preparation for the awards show, he shared that he is currently listening to a band called Rap Bag and enjoying their music. Gadd is competing against other prominent actors like Javier Bardem, Colin Farrell, Kevin Kline, and Andrew Scott for the award.

At the SAG Awards, Gadd’s Baby Reindeer costar Jessica Gunning, who played Martha in the miniseries, is also nominated for an award. Gunning is up for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series, alongside talented actresses like Kathy Bates, Cate Blanchett, Jodie Foster, Lily Gladstone, and Cristin Milioti. The recognition of both Gadd and Gunning at the awards shows speaks to the success and impact of Baby Reindeer among audiences and critics.

Despite his success and recognition at various award shows, Gadd remains humble and grateful for the support he has received throughout his career. He continues to use his platform to express his appreciation for those who have helped him achieve his goals and overcome challenges in his life. While he may not display his trophies prominently in his home, Gadd’s generosity in sharing his awards with others reflects his values and dedication to acknowledging those who have made a difference in his life.

As Gadd continues to receive accolades for his work in Baby Reindeer and other projects, it is clear that his talent and storytelling abilities have resonated with both industry professionals and audiences. His dedication to his craft and willingness to express vulnerability in his work have made him a standout performer in the entertainment industry, and he is likely to continue receiving recognition for his contributions to television and film in the future.
