Connections is a word puzzle game similar to Wordle, but with a different twist. In Connections, players are given 16 words and must group them into four sets that are somehow connected. The challenge lies in finding the common thread that links each set of words together. The game editor, Wyna Liu, is known for using words that can fit into multiple groups, adding an additional level of difficulty.

The New York Times recently introduced a Connections Bot, similar to the one already available for Wordle. After completing a puzzle, players can visit the bot to receive a numeric score and have their answers analyzed. Registered players can track their progress, including the number of puzzles completed, win rate, perfect scores, and win streak. This new feature allows players to nerd out and delve deeper into their gameplay statistics.

Playing Connections is simple, but winning can be a challenge. Players must carefully analyze the 16 words and mentally group them based on common themes or connections. The groups are color-coded, but the actual connections are revealed only after submitting answers. The difficulty of the groups ranges from yellow (easiest) to purple (toughest), requiring players to think creatively to make the right connections.

Today’s Connections puzzle offers hints for each group, ranging from the straightforward yellow group to the more complex purple group. The themes for the groups include “clairvoyant,” “special edition adjectives,” “Great job!,” and “extremely.” Players must use these hints to correctly group the words and complete the puzzle. The answers for today’s groups include words like medium, mystic, collectible, exclusive, impressive, nice, awful, and way.

Connections provides a unique and engaging challenge for word puzzle enthusiasts looking to test their skills. With the addition of the Connections Bot and tracking features, players can now dive deeper into their gameplay experience and strive to improve their performance. By carefully analyzing the words, making creative connections, and utilizing hints effectively, players can enhance their problem-solving abilities and enjoy a satisfying puzzle-solving experience. So, if you’re a fan of word games like Wordle, consider giving Connections a try for a fun and stimulating challenge.
