Curbee is a mobile service technology that allows auto dealers to provide services for cars and trucks at the driveways of vehicle owners. The company is currently working with 11 dealership groups covering about 40 outlets and is now looking to expand nationally. The CEO of Curbee, Denise Leleux, believes that many customers are not aware that they can receive vehicle service right in their driveways, eliminating the need to take their cars to dealerships or garages for services like oil changes, tire rotation, and battery replacement.
Traditionally, vehicle owners had to take their cars to service providers and either wait for the work to be completed or arrange for rides until the tasks were finished. With mobile service, customers can schedule appointments and are given options in four-hour blocks. The night before the appointment, customers are informed of a one-hour window when the work will be performed. A service van then arrives at the customer’s driveway to carry out the necessary services. Curbee’s mobile service tech platform is designed to integrate into existing dealer management software, making it easy for dealers to implement this service.
The mobile service not only provides convenience for customers but also benefits dealers in multiple ways. By offering service in the driveway, dealers can improve relationships with consumers, increase revenue, and enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty. Leleux emphasizes that mobile service can help dealers achieve their goals and objectives for the year, even if they lack physical space or capital for expansion. With mobile service, dealers can meet customers where they are and offer a new channel of service that can set them apart from competitors.
Curbee’s system uses advanced technology such as AI-powered scheduling, predictive maintenance analytics, and personalized customer communications tools. Dealers have the opportunity to start with simple mobile service options, such as picking up a customer’s car from their home, completing the work, and returning the vehicle. More elaborate forms of mobile service can involve performing recalls or diagnostic work at the customer’s home, ensuring that all systems are working properly. Major automakers are encouraging their dealers to implement mobile service, and Leleux believes that this trend will continue to grow in the future.
Leleux envisions a future where customers can have their cars serviced in the same way they get groceries delivered or have their pets groomed. The mobile service provided by Curbee allows dealers to offer convenient and efficient service options that meet the evolving needs of customers. By embracing mobile service, dealers can not only improve customer satisfaction and loyalty but also increase revenue and expand their service offerings. Mobile service is becoming more prevalent, and dealers who are quick to adopt this technology will likely have a competitive advantage in the automotive service industry.
