Two French bulldogs, Yoda and Whiskey, who had been missing for over a month in Alaska, were discovered dead inside crab pots. The brothers were found during a routine shellfish pot inspection near Thorne Bay. The pups had gone missing on February 13 when owner Kane Martin took them to work at a logging unit and they unexpectedly disappeared. Kane believes that the dogs were abducted and killed as part of a personal vendetta.

Authorities are currently investigating the incident and believe it may be a targeted attack due to some personal issue related to the owner. Troopers are working to corroborate information from potential witnesses before making it public as there is currently no suspect identified in the case. The crab pots where the dogs were found were thrown back into the water by authorities, hoping the owner would come forward to claim them, but no one has come forward yet.

Esther Martin, Kane’s wife, expressed disbelief at the loss of their dogs, describing them as incredibly sweet and friendly. The family had hoped that Yoda and Whiskey would return on their own, as they had never run away before. Despite their extensive search efforts, including leaving items of clothing, food, and searching the area multiple times, the dogs never returned.

The Martins have offered a $2,500 reward for any information that may lead to finding out what happened to their beloved pets. Esther Martin hopes that the dogs’ final moments were swift and that they were not subjected to any prolonged suffering. The family is still coming to terms with the loss of Yoda and Whiskey, who were cherished companions and had been a part of their lives since June.

The community has been shocked by the tragic loss of the two French bulldogs, who were well-known in the area for being friendly and loving animals. The Martins are continuing to seek answers and justice for their pets, hoping that whoever is responsible for their deaths will be held accountable for their actions. Despite the heartache of losing Yoda and Whiskey, the family is grateful for the outpouring of support they have received from the community.

The investigation into the deaths of Yoda and Whiskey is ongoing, with authorities working diligently to piece together the events that led to their tragic demise. The Martins are determined to find out what happened to their beloved dogs and are hopeful that the reward they have offered will lead to more information coming to light. As they mourn the loss of Yoda and Whiskey, the family is focused on honoring their memory and ensuring that justice is served in their case.
