On April 1, Amazon Prime Video added a variety of new movies to its lineup, including a mix of films from MGM’s library and other studios. With a wide selection of options available, film lovers have plenty to choose from. To assist viewers in finding the right movie to watch, Watch with Us has selected three underrated Amazon Prime Video films for the weekend. The recommendations include a horror movie that marked its 25th anniversary last year, a gripping racing drama starring Christian Bale and Matt Damon, and a charming romantic comedy that also has a touch of tragedy.

One of the recommended films is ‘Stigmata’ from 1999, which tells the story of Frankie Paige, an atheist who inexplicably experiences stigmata and signs of possession. Father Andrew Kiernan is sent by the Vatican to investigate Frankie’s condition, leading to a discovery that threatens the foundation of the church. As Father Andrew races to save Frankie from evil spirits and rogue church agents, her life and soul hang in the balance. ‘Stigmata’ is available for streaming on Prime Video.

Another recommended film is ‘Ford v Ferrari’ from 2019, which delves into the rivalry between Henry Ford II and Enzo Ferrari. Director James Mangold incorporates this rivalry background into a story focusing on Carroll Shelby, a former race car driver tasked by Ford to create a car to compete against Ferrari’s models. Shelby enlists the help of the talented but challenging Ken Miles, leading to a project that will change the international racing scene. ‘Ford v Ferrari’ is currently streaming on Prime Video.

For fans of romantic comedies, ‘Return to Me’ from 2000 is a heartwarming option on Prime Video. David Duchovny stars as Bob Rueland, a man grieving the loss of his wife who unknowingly forms a connection with Grace Briggs, a waitress who received his wife’s heart in a transplant. As Bob and Grace discover the unexpected bond between them, their potential romance is clouded by the knowledge of their connection. ‘Return to Me’ is available for streaming on Prime Video for viewers to enjoy.

Overall, Amazon Prime Video offers a diverse selection of movies to suit various tastes and preferences. From horror and drama to romance and comedy, there is something for everyone to enjoy on the streaming platform. With hidden gems and underrated films waiting to be discovered, Watch with Us provides recommendations to help viewers navigate the vast array of options available on Prime Video. Whether viewers are in the mood for a thrilling horror film, an intense racing drama, or a heartwarming romantic comedy, they can find the perfect movie to watch for a weekend of entertainment.
